The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the push of the button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move on whenever it comes across one.

I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads remove tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure.
