It's also extremely quiet, and we were able to watch television while it was cleaning without feeling like it was bombarding us with the sound.

Our test subjects were impressed with how easy it was to install and use, and were impressed by its capacity to get all the messes off their floors. It was effective in cleaning pet hair, messes and carpeting however it was a bit more difficult at getting rid of stains that were stubborn. The app was simple to use and intuitive. It was able to program the vacuum to clean frequently to cut down on manual work. It doesn't have any mapping or object avoidance technology, which means it cannot be able to be directed to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundaries are compatible).

Another model from the iRobot's budget line which is the V3S Pro has some impressive features for the money. It's also quiet and has a huge dust bin that can hold a lot of dust before it needs to be emptied.

The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choices lists from reliable sources that test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was simple to use and set up, but the battery life was a bit short.
